Makeup hasn’t been the same since mineral based makeup, thanks to Leslie Blodgett, CEO of Bare Escentuals, who launched her Bare Minerals Foundation in 1998. Nine years later, every makeup brand now has its own line of mineral makeup as they still pour in funds into R&D to develop other natural-sounding “mineral” formulations and ingredients such as titanium dioxide, mica and potassium, flooding the market with better alternatives.
